About us

 

Directors, Lynne & Gary Franks, and Denise Forsyth, have created and driven various successful projects since 1994. From raising funds to allow young girls from destitute and abusive homes to attain decent secondary and tertiary educations, to assisting Alex Hospice (in Alexandra) with donations of kitchen equipment and beds.

 

TOUCH AN ANGEL is a registered Non Profit Organisation (NPO) driving projects in South Africa aimed at assisting the disadvantaged "angels" in our community. Most of our projects have been to help disadvantaged children to get a decent education, because an education combined with Hope and a positive Attitude leads to a Bright Future.

 

 

Our vision

 

Our current focus with the limited funding we have, is mainly on a 19 year old 2nd year university student who we have supported all the way through her school years, and now as she studies industrial psychology. This bright young angel whose father was medically boarded due to ill health and whose mother is a domestic worker doing her best to support a large family and extended family, became the first in her family to achieve a good matric with university exemption, and then go on to university.

Her hard work and results have since inspired 2 of her cousins who are now also enrolled in universities. With Touch an Angel's support and an incredible work ethic, this angel is now achieving distinctions in university.

 

Touch an Angel also assists another young lady student studying at Rhodes University, but struggles without parents or any other support.
